Have you ever struck up a friendship with someone on Y!A ...?

and as soon as you saw a picture of them and they weren't what you were expecting did you start to treat them differently?





I know someone that this happened too! Why is it that people have to judge other people by their looks? They say that beauty is only skin deep and yes I know the rest of the saying... ugly is to the bone, but people (men and women both) have no control over how their face is going to look! unless they have plastic surgery and why should it have to come down to plastic surgery to be excepted by others?

I don't understand it either. Most of my friends look like me. I am not what I would call pretty in the face either.Most people name their best physical attributes.I would say my eyes. Most people say that about me. But I am beautiful from the inside out. As far as plastic surgery. I would prefer someone who is natural. Unless is medically or psychologically necessary for that person. If I had money to do that. Would I ? No.

i tried talking to one individual but didn't much care for what i found out..and it had nothing to do with looks!

Reply:Doesn't bother me. I have seen pics of people on here and if they are funny and cool who cares what they look like? I'm here to have a laugh, its not a beauty contest. If someone quits talking to someone b/c of looks, they were looking for something sexual in the first place.

Reply:I started a friendship with someone and when i saw a picture of them i didn't thik they looked all that bad, but i would have continued the friendship anyway.


I sent them some photos of me and was lucky enough to have them think i wasn't unattractive.


We are still good friends.

Reply:Because that's the way we are. I personally expect a pic/webcam before I chat with a stranger just because I like to associate an attitude with a face!
Reply:I've not had that problem but I do know that 90 percent of people nowadays are so concerned with looks and how the person they are with makes them look they've forgotten about the most important thing, the love that comes with a person. Girls are so into looks they starve themselves to make sure they look like they should, get surgeries to make their man happy. Well I say if a man doesn't like you for who you are then there is no reason to stay with him.
