My japanese tattoos color is coming off...?

i got my tattoo done in august and i love it to bits. but over the last month ive noticed some off the colour coming off.. i fought i was imaging it at first but now my mates have said theres holes in places. so i goolged it up wondering what the hell was going on and i found on a few tattoo pages, a few people having the same sort of problem. and some poeple answered saying .... "not everyone holds ink the same, get it touched up" or "that its been done wrong and the inks not been put in the skin deep anoth". i was wondering if anyone can help me out..?? because its really starting to p*** me off. could it be that my skin is not holding the ink right or could it have been done wrong or..?? but i had it done at a well known tattoo parlor with 20yrs experience. But im giving it till november "ish" to get it touched up just incase anymore ink comes off. hope i dont have to keep getting it touched up. this is my 1st tattoo and i followed all the after care treatment, can you plz help..??

A fade should never really be seen for at least 10yrs.Some skin doesent take ink but 90% of the time its ok.I rekon it may be due to cracking or having allowed the scab to dryout.Or the dreaded picking or scraching that cozez the tat to look as tho it has holes usually it looks like normal skin with a slight scab.Wait a few more months then go back and get it reinked this is also a good idea after a 10 year period. Also keep away from the sun or sunbeds it takes years out of the ink good luck mate. Also ink can't come off when its in its in end of story the only way that could happen is with dry scab.An artist with 20yrs under him/her aint gonna get it wrong.
Reply:i don't think that there is much to help this. Speak to the tatoo artist about this. Maybe keeping the area well moisturized will help?

Good luck. This is the main reason why i never got one. the fading..
Reply:Well the human skin do shed, and when you get a color tatoo they usually don't go that deep in the skin. As you said some people don't hold ink well in their skin, you might have that condition, then add the normal shedding of skin from a human body that color from your tatoo will fade sooner than you had expected. I would suggest to ask that tat parlor to go a lillte deeper if you get it retouched. Also it also depends on the type of ink they use.
