I've looked up about how to determine skin undertones but, all it seemed to do was confuse me MORE. I have pale skin that tans very easily. I can go from being very fair to a deep tan color (Not "brown" but, still very dark.) depending on how much sun I get. My natural hair color is dark brown with both blonde and, red highlights that become more prominent with sun exposure. My eyes used to be darker and looked red but, they seem to be getting lighter and now look more hazel-brown. Right now I don't have any tan so under natural sunlight my skin is very light with yellowish-peach look to it. As far as I know all of those are considred warm colors but, I look terrible in warm colors. The best colors on me are silver, pastel pink, white, and deep green. So can I have primarily warm colors but, still be considered cool? I'm multi-racial of white, asian, and "some" latin decent. So could that have anything to do with this weird coloring? I want to know so I can choose a better foundation.
Is it possible to have multiple skin undertones? How can I determine if I'm warm or cool? Help me?
"Warm" and "Cool" need to be determined when you aren't tan, no sun exposure to your hair, or anything else mother nature didn't give you.
Naturally, you have dark brown hair, and hazel-brown eyes, with yellow-peach skin tone. Correct?
For the Warm vs. Cool debate you sound like a warm. There is a third option: Neutral. For a quick trick, look at the veins on your inner wrist. Do they look blue more than green? Then you are a cool. Do they look green more than blue? You're a warm. If they look blue, but you have hair, eyes, and skin that fall into the warm category, you might be a Neutral.
Sounds like you might want to go with separate colors to look best on you. Use warm shades that MATCH your skin tone for concealer, foundation, and a warm peachy blush. Use cool colors for eyeliner and eyeshadow to make them pop. And wear whatever you like and think looks good on you for clothes. There is no rule that you must wear all warm or all cool colors.
Reply:You might fall under the category of neutral or another color scheme that the brand Prescriptives offers. Like reddish orange or some quirky color scheme.
Reply:i think you probably have cooler undertones then you think...my skin is kinda warm, but cooler colors look better on me then warmer ones....try white, bright blues, aqua, bubblegum pink, light yellow, fushia, and other brights....i know i dont look very good in tans, beiges, or oranges, and i really don't look good in pastels....if you are having problems just pay close attention when you are trying on clothes...the colors that really play up your skin tone will tell you what undertones you have
Reply:um what do u mean??
