I actually would NOT put lotion on. If you did get a chemical burn, lotion will just iritate it. Wash your face with cool water when you do over the next few days. Don't use anything but a gentle soap or cleanser. A chemical burn will take a little while to heal, so sorry, you're going to have a red face for a little bit. On a good note.... the face regenrates skin cells fairly quickly, so it won't be tooooo long. Any time you use something that is deep clean, it is NOT meant for daily use! Once or twice a week. Your skin, like everything else, can't handle more than that. Good luck!
Reply:Alright. Basically all you can do is discontinue use and apply a lotion (recommendations below). Do not touch it if you can help it -- that will only irritate it more. Cold might ease the pain a bit, but make sure if you use a washcloth that it's not abrasive. You probably shouldn't even do more than lather/rinse with a gentle cleaner (no beads) for the next few days.

As some general advice, you /should/ use lotion. It will help. However, don't apply too much, just as directed, and if you're worried about acne right now check on the back to see if it's non-comedogenic. This is what you want.

For the future, always start out with any new product slowly. This is especially true for acne medications which tend to be somewhat irritating and drying. You should at most use them twice daily, starting out only once daily and with a relatively small amount of the product. Also, if using benzoyl peroxide, use the lowest concentration you can get. It's been shown in studies that 2.5% concentration is just as effective as the "ultra-strength" 10% but with less drying and irritation.
Reply:hahahahaha!I know it is mean to laugh at you but Ive been using clean and clear all my life...but im happy that some guys out there still cares about their face!!Anyway, I dont have any remedies here. I just hope you should ask ur mum or sis to find something more suitable for your skin type. Maybe u have sensitive skin. So now dont ever use it again. If u feel ur skin burning, wash with icy cold water. It helps! Oh, I am sorry I have no remedies....Hope u recover soon!Bye!* - *
Reply:If i where you i put some aloe on it .

Aloe vera has fleshy leaves of which yield a juice used as an emollient ingredient of skin lotions and for treating burns

you can either get it from the plant or go buy the gel at the drugstore it will soothe the burning on the skin.
Reply:have your parents make an appointment with a dermatologist for you. this way, you will have a more effective treatment for your acne. in the meantime, try AMLactin.
