Spicy food causing sore lumps under skin....?

For the past few years Iv occassional suffered sore lumps under my skin, usually only 1 or 2 every say 4-5 months. Its like a boil but it never comes to the surface, sometimes you wouldn't even know its there because they are always so deep under my skin, theres always slight swelling though and they hurt like hell. They usually last a few days to a week before disappearing.

Anyway towards the end of last year I started getting them regularly so i went to see my doctor, I thought he would tell me I have acne developing or something but he gave me a full medical and then started asking if iv changed my diet recently....

Now at the same time as these lumps getting worse I moved next door to an indian restaurant and started eating quite spicy food at least once a week....

Iv now gone 3 weeks avoiding all spicy food and low and behold so far so good- no lumps! Can certain foods really do this? And does anyone know why or what it might be in spicy food that has this effect?!

It might be the fat in what your eating that's causing that to happen, i know what your talking about, it's like a huge spot coming that doesnt ever appear, just hurts alot, when i eat alot of really fatty foods and sugar i started getting the same. I started eating healthier again and they stopped. Try cutting out large amounts of fat, most indian food is fatty depending on what you order. Hope this helps.
Reply:Dont eat spicy food
Reply:different people = different allergic reactions.

me, my dad, and my aunt if we eat spicy foods, we tend to have gastric problems. so if i were you, drink anti-histamines before you dive in spicy foods.
Reply:Lots of people get reactions from spicy foods especially with their skin!!
