Whats this red bump on my stomach that looks kinda like a big pimple, and the skin is flaking off it?

The bump feels soft to the touch and looks like pimple its deep red, the skin is peeling off of it, but it dosent have a head like a pimple. its just even with my belly button but on the right side of my stomach. its the size of a really big pimple.

sound like you got bitten by something or an allergic reaction to something that got on you there.


It could also be a boil (big pimple) in which case it probably will get a head and they are painful.

Reply:Does it hurt like a really big pimple? If so, maybe it's a boil....if it is, you can put hot teabags on it to draw out the pus.


If it's itchy, or just sore, maybe it's some sort of skin infection, like yeast or bacteria? I'd try neosporin, and if that didn't work, maybe lotrimin?


I forgot, maybe a bite of some sort too? You could use calamine or benadryl on that...

Reply:It could be a bruise, an ingrown hair follicle, a developing pimple, etc. Visit a skin specialist.

You might want to have it looked at .. If it has been there a while or does not clear up on it's own ..


try some bacitracin.. it could just be a little "boo boo" if it doesn't clear in 7 days get it checked!!
