I know they usually both come with eachother, but if you had to pick one, what would you say?

Reply:I was initially going to say "Brains," because I thought that was more important and then I began thinking of all the people in life I really enjoy being with, and it's not usually my smartest friends, it's the friends that make me laugh!

but in order for somebody to be hilariously funny they have to be clever, so you cant really distinguish between the two

Reply:I'd pick humour. I have enough brains of my own, but I definitely don't want someone who doesn't know how to lighten the hell up. But you're right — being funny does require a good deal of intelligence.
