How do you get a deep splinter out of the skin?

I would sterilize a needle and start digging. However the infection could result.

Your boddy will naturally try to get rid of this by sending in the white blood cells and you would end up with a pus pocket that would bust and release the splinter but this takes time.

How do you get a deep splinter out of the skin?
Don't attempt bathroom surgery, seek medical attention ASAP before it becomes infected.
Reply:first u get a knife and u cut the skin where ever it is! :-)
Reply:Needle [heat in flame and wait to cool] and dig in. You should be able to drag it from the entry -out.

make sure you put some antisceptic or savlon on and plaster up.
Reply:Medical treatment? LOL. Just get a needle and tweezers and pull that sucker out. I cut a tree and had a giant splinter go halfway through my hand. just yanked it out.
Reply:I once had to go to the doctor and have him remove it with it a lance, It wound up that it was way deeper than I thought, I thought it was a little splinter that I could not reach but it was one big mean old splinter about a 3/4 inch shard of wood straight under where the nail goes on the big toe. YIKES%26gt; The funny thing is that I already had an appointment with the dermatologist and I just asked him to do me a favor and look at the splinter which I thought would eventually rise to the top on its' own. It would not have, it would have become very very infected.

You can try soaking it (in Epsom Salt).... and then try to re-tweeze or use a sterilized straight pin, but if it is deep deep deep? I would have some professional someone look at it.
Reply:Make a hole right where it is at the put a piece of fat bacon on it.
Reply:Firstly, if it is in your hand or face go to your doctor. Hand surgery in the bathroom is dangerous (unless you really don't want to use that hand again).

If it is in a thigh or a leg, you can try to get a fine tweezer to get it out. It is generally better if you cut the skin a tiny bit at the entrance point (much better when it is made numb first.) If you need to cut any more than a sixteenth of an inch (or a few millimeters,) then you are better off having a surgeon do it. If it gets infected, again you are better off in professional hands.
Reply:you can pore peroxide on it and it should help bring it to the surface
