On my son's feet his skin is peeling on the tips of his toes, and like in the bend of his toes, in the bends of his toes its really deep it's not dry its moist skin.
Why is my son's skin peeling on the bottowms of his feet?
Skin cells die by the millions daily. So, our skin tends to die off and peel for different reasons.
1st possible cause: If your son has been in the pool or the ocean lately, the water and the sun will cause the dead skin cells to raise and peel.
2nd possible cause: If there is no way that your son has been near water lately, then he could be dehydrated. Peeling skin (especially on hands and feet) is a definite sign of dehydration. Make sure he gets lots of water and urinates frequently.
3rd possible cause: You sons skin hasn't peeled away the old dead skin in a while and you haven't noticed it. Sometimes it's perfectly normal to have peeling skin, because the new skin cells are pushing their way to the top to get oxygen.
If you think any of this sounds plausible, use the suggestions and lotion up his feet, if not, call his doctor.
Reply:Could be weather related or a skin disorder. Contact your sons pediatrician or a podiatrist.
Reply:It could possibly be athletes foot.
Reply:Has he had any fever lately? Sometimes, the fever will cause the palms of your hands and the bottom of your feet to peel. Also, my son's was caused by the rubber in sneakers. Even the expensive ones did it. Got him into loafers and the problem went away. He would still wear the sneakers, but only a FEW hours at a time.
