Astringents on oily skin?

I have particularly oily skin, so i bought this Clean%26amp;Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent....if i put it on in the morning, will it keep my face less shiney throughout the entire day or just for a couple of hours?

Astringents on oily skin?
Depends on your skin and depends on your astringent. Generally it should be enough to keep you shine-free for at least five or six hours. Past that, you might have to reapply.

Clean and Clear also makes oil absorbing sheets. Those things are a godsend! Basically they're little sheets of paper that you wipe the oily areas of your face with and it just sucks up the oil and leaves your skin completely matte looking. They're awesome! I use them to blot my face during the day, when I can't wash it, etc.
Reply:Clean and Clear is great for oily skin.. I have combination skin oil and dry, so I use witch hazel and it works great. Plus you can get a large bottle for less money that clean and clear.
Reply:it should work all day. and i too have oily skin

Reply:I also have oily skin, but I find astringents full of alcohol make the problem worse. Since your skin dries out when using astringents, skin then reacts by producing more oil to combat the temporary dryness. I think the best thing should should do is to get a light weight moisturizer (such as aloe vera gel). I would also recommend MAC blot powder to keep your skin matte throughout the day.
Reply:THis works, and they guarantee it.
