If you've got a deep cut and the skin is hanging off, should you pull it off or leave it?

ewwww

i guess you should just leave it.

if its really deep then you might need the skin for stitching.

If you've got a deep cut and the skin is hanging off, should you pull it off or leave it?
you can pull it off

its dead skin now
Reply:Leave it and RUN to the hospital. If you pull it it hurts.

If you have something temporarily cover it.
Reply:TAKE ZE PAIN!
Reply:i would leave it
Reply:pull it off

hangin off is disgusting
Reply:Pull it off. Then sautee with onions and garlic.
Reply:it should be left there but i always pull i off
Reply:duct tape!

...it never fails!
Reply:Trim it with a pair of scissors it's less painful. Unless you are into pain!!

:-)))
Reply:Id pull it off
Reply:super glue it
Reply:I would leave it then dress it with a sterile dressing and keep it clean.Depending on how deep it is see your doctor as it may need stitching.
Reply:dont pull it off!!!

let the wound heal a bit and when it is then pull it off
Reply:leave it and put a plaster over it
Reply:Depends on how deep, usually heals quicker if you pull it off. If deep you should apply pressure so it seals better and quicker to stop infection. - Cause usually certain cuts are more prown to infection/Puss
Reply:LMSUIAO OHH the exquisite pain of it . Pull it off and suffer the joy of the sting
Reply:leave it and put the hanging skin over the cut it will help it heal and protect it
Reply:I normally pull it, but if it hurts, you should cut it off.
Reply:Get stitches.
Reply:Clean up the cut, leave the loose skin on. If you can, try %26amp; push the hanging bit of skin back on! Then cover it with a plaster. The bit of skin hopefully will cover will cover the wound %26amp; then re-grow.
Reply:Pull it off or I will come and pull it off for you.
Reply:seriously? me? peroxide the wound or Neosporin, and lay the skin back over it. it WILL heal faster with less chance of infection.

the stories i could tell! let's just say i once could have used 35 stitches or so and a $600 hospital bill, but i took care of it myself. UGH!
Reply:Leave it
Reply:depending how deep ... cut not rip

Im a hairstylist been therr =)
Reply:my mum cut her skin off with the scissors when she fell and cut her finger in the back garden
Reply:If at all possible try to pull the torn skin over the wound this will help to protect the delicate skin underneath from further damage and help to prevent infection. Then cover it with a sterile dressing.Do not pull it off.The longer it is there the better chance the cut will have of healing.
Reply:Put it back in place and cover it with a plaster.
Reply:Id leave it on cover the cut back over with it after cleaning and cover with a bandaid, often will fuse back together, if your'e feeling adventurous you could add a slice of something else, graft on a new piece depending on where the cut is, if on your foot you could add a thumb so you can eat with your feet, later, after the healing process. Have fun but keep it clean !!
